The Okapi team launches work with UNEP in Haiti towards the development of a new ecosystem-based adaptation project in the Southern Coast, supported by GEF. The project will include measures to rehabilitate degraded ecosystems, reduce GHG emissions, strengthen local practices for natural resource use. The project concept can be found here.
Our team also completed the development of a cross-cutting capacity development project designed to assist the Government of Haiti, and especially the Ministry of Environment, in implementing the Rio Conventions using integrated approaches and new data. The project document can be found here.
