Tanzania 2013 – UNDP: Strengthening Climate Information and Early Warning Systems in Tanzania to Support Climate Resilient Development and Adaptation to Climate Change

Okapi developed a project document for this GEF-LDCF funded project (Least Developed Country Fund) through UNDP. Part of a 10-country initiative, this projet aims to strengthen the capacity of Tanzania to monitor hydro-climatic conditions and to integrate climate change into local development planning.  The project includes large investments into the hydro-climate monitoring infrastructure, technical assistance for flood forecasting, and the implementation of a crowd-sourced disaster management and adaptation planning platform at local level.

More details on the project can be found here.
